The Flow Arts Institute puts on six annual festivals around the United States.
What makes our festivals different from the others? As the largest network of connected flow festivals in the country, we compound the innovations and excellence of each event by sharing between them. Having put on over 35 festivals, we have plenty of experience in getting it right. From a diversity of high-level teachers and workshop content down to the details of an industry-leading Fire Safety Protocol, art grants, and top-quality performance ‘Flowcases,’ we go the extra distance to make your festival experience awesome. We regularly offer the one-of-a-kind opportunity to Firewalk at our festivals for no extra cost. Come to any of our events and experience it for yourself: we are passionate about making the best possible flow festival! Stay tuned for the addition of Fahrenheit Flow Festival near Auburn, PA in 2016!
FLAME Festival is the first Flow Arts and fire-dancing festival of every year in the Southeast United States. The festival is held at Cherokee Farms in LaFayette, GA, which is only two hours from Atlanta. We open the festival season by bringing instructors in from all over the world to teach and inspire attendees of any skill level. FLAME Festival focuses on providing a safe and fun environment for everyone to share their work and talent while having the opportunity to learn and connect with fellow flow artists. The community of people is very warm and open. Join us in the beautiful North Georgia mountains for four days of educational classes, and three nights of enchanting and safe fire performing in the fire circle.
Kinetic Fire is a four-day flow-artists’ and fire-performers’ paradise, held each May near Cincinnati, Ohio. Kinetic Fire is designed to provide a fun and open-share communal environment in which spinners from all over the Midwest and the world can learn, teach, and advance together in the Flow Arts. Kinetic Fire focuses heavily on a strong participant-led workshop program, spread across a diverse range of object manipulation and fire-related disciplines such as dance, aerial arts and parkour. Kinetic Fire is now the largest of the Flow Arts Institute’s festivals reflecting the heart and enthusiasm of the midwest’s flow community.
FireDrums is the father of the flow festivals, the longest-running Flow Arts gathering in the country. With over 10 years of experience as a cultural hub, the FireDrums community has grown and changed over time from a camp out on the beach, to the world’s largest fire-dance gathering, and now back to a comfortable sized festival for focused learning. This event brings together flow artists from around the world with the mission of uniting the cultures of Flow Arts, fire dancing, and fire performance arts. At FireDrums participants can creatively explore, share, and teach their art forms in a safe and inspiring environment.
CampFire is an annual weekend-long festival where circus arts meet adults’ summer camp. Learn Flow Arts from many incredible teachers offering over 100 classes for all skill levels in fire dancing, prop manipulation, aerial dance, partner acrobatics, and yoga. Dance in the air within the magic of the trees as you learn aerial arts dangling from the majestic oaks. New to fire? Open yourself up to the world of fire arts by lighting up for your first time as we take you under our wing. Witness and participate in inspiring performance showcase events, including Saturday night’s “Flowcase” variety show where premier artists share their passion. Join us as we light up the night with our best UV reactive costumes and props during our evening of glow yoga and flow jam. Become one with your inner warrior spirit as you flow through the ninja training zone. There’s something for everyone in this unforgettable weekend festival. Come expand your ideas of what’s possible!

Pacific Fire Gathering captures the magical element of Flow. Nestled into a venue of incredible natural beauty and set on the forest and beach of the Pacific Ocean, our connection to the energies of the natural world is palpable at this intimate festival. Our community of flow and movement artists is closely connected, yet openly welcoming at the same time. The festival is small enough to feel like we’re all one family. By day, over 100 workshops take place around the main lodge, on a bluff overlooking the ocean. When the sun sets, participants gather to watch and co-create performance showcases for both fire and non-fire acts. At night, the fire circle burns bright within a staff’s throw of the beach while the sounds of breaking waves mixes with our own musical performer’s creations. Sit in the teahouse at the edge of the circle and watch your friends spin as you sip Oolong and contemplate the true meaning of Flow. Pacific Fire is a festival like no other.
