This is one of the four basic Timing and Directions, fundamental to manipulating two spinning props. Together-Time Opposite-Direction is often referred to as “The Butterfly” because of how the movement resembles that of flapping wings.
For reference, here are the four basic Timing and Direction combinations, with their flow-slang contractions:
- Together-time Same-direction – or “Tog-Same”
- Split-time Same-direction – or “Split-Same”
- Together-time Opposite-direction – or “Tog-Opp”
- Split-time Opposite-direction – or “Split-Opp”
