This is one of the four basic Timing and Directions, fundamental to manipulating two spinning props. Split-Time Opposite-Direction is most easily recognized when the hands or props meet at both sides, but are apart at the top and bottom.
For reference, here are the four basic Timing and Direction combinations, with their flow-slang contractions:
- Together-time Same-direction – or “Tog-Same”
- Split-time Same-direction – or “Split-Same”
- Together-time Opposite-direction – or “Tog-Opp”
- Split-time Opposite-direction – or “Split-Opp”
